Due Date is past!

I never thought this would happen but due date has passed. Now she really is massive her belly has dropped and she really looks ready to POP!

We’ve been up to check on her every couple of hours through the night since last Friday and are now starting to wonder whether a vindaloo will work in the same way for horses as it does in people!!

she’s definitely learning a

few new tricks. She was very well behaved as usual and it stayed dry (most of the time!)

A showjumping weekend …

At the weekend we had a run out to what could be called our ‘local’ showjumping competition, Greenlands EC (http://www.greenlandsequestriancentre.co.uk/)

It was a fab day with the horses jumping starting at 2pm we had a leisurely set off which is quite rare!

We took three horses, 2 children and a dog so it made for a grand day out!

Big Bob back in action!

This week Bob has been out every day and my goodness has it improved his attitude to life! His temperant has improved greatly because bless him he must have been bored!

To start with he didn’t go far before he was brought back to his box in disgrace – and to get a bridle (rather than a headcollar) but he improved the second time!

He has now progressed to making it all the way to the school and being worked while he’s in there! His leg looks way better and he is actually enjoying himself!

As we sadly (and happily) lost the Turkeys this week we have welcomed (courtesy of Father Christmas) we welcomed 3 new chickens!

Thursday 24th December – Deep Litter Beds

Unfortunately shavings did not mean that mucking out was any faster in fact it took longer!

So today in preparation for Father Christmas arriving we moved the big horses onto Deep Litter Beds – time saving is imminent!
